OUR TEAM
Gary Arpin, co-owner of Total TurfCare, Inc. with his wife, Karla, was born and raised in Salina. Gary grew up around the horticulture industry. As a boy, Gary’s family was a neighbor to Grigsby Green House and at the age of 12 he began working summers picking tomatoes and learning the processes of caring for the tomato vines. During high school, Gary worked for Twin Valley Nursery and Garden Center, providing daily care for a wide variety of ornamental plant materials as well as assisting customers with outside sales. In 1982, he graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in horticulture, then spent the next 9 years working for various horticulture based operations. In early 1991, Gary and Karla purchased a local ServiceMaster LawnCare franchise, then renamed the business to Total TurfCare, Inc.
Because your lawn and landscape is a substantial investment, you need to be sure that the individuals taking care of it are knowledgeable on the subject. All of our management personnel hold bachelor’s degrees in horticulture from Kansas State University. Our technical and service personnel have either received state certification or full training in their prospective areas.
